Revision Strategy: Wake up Early

in Revision / Studying

Do you find it hard to get all your revision completed? How about trying to wake up an hour or so earlier that normal?

Why should you wake up early to study?

  1. Means you can go to sleep earlier the night before
  2. Refreshed and ready to complete the difficult work
  3. You will get more done
  4. You won’t be distracted by TV, friends or phones (unless you are friends with someone on the other side of the world, or another early bird)

Wake up Early the day of the Exam

It could be a good idea to wake up early the day of an exam.  This would be a great time to revise key points.  I don’t know about you but it would be easier to revise this information the day of the exam then the night before.

Wake up Early to complete assignments

If I am having trouble finishing an assignment I wake up early every day for a week.  Even a hour early is enough.  I give myself a plan of what needs to completed, and get it done before I go to school.

Successful Early Riser Strategies

  1. Go to bird earlier the night before
  2. Make it a habit
  3. Use an alarm clock – but do not hit the snooze button
  4. Have a shower as soon as you wake up
  5. Do not study in your bedroom, move to another room

And be careful.  You might start to enjoy the early mornings.
