Online Student Planner

Today I want to introduce you to an excellent online organizer called Online School Planner.  I have been using the planner for a couple of weeks now and really believe that it will really help students stay organized and on top of their homework, assignments and exam revision.

The Online School Planner was developed by Mike.  Mike is in his last semester of College where he is studying a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science.  Mike, like most students, cruised through high school with very little studying.  But that changed when he got to College.  Mike started using a paper based diary but became easily frustrated because:

  • There was not enough space to write all the necessary information
  • It was another book to carry around (8+courses a term)
  • The paper planner didn’t help Mike visualise what was due
  • Was just a planner – didn’t provide any other information.

So Mike had a look around the web and felt that the online planners didn’t meet his needs.  So instead he made his own.

Very cool!!

Why I like the Online School Planner

  • Currently in Beta stage:  meaning it is free to join until May 31.  This means you have complete, full access – unlimited courses, unlimited tasks, unlimited grade tracking.
  • Video on the home page shows you exactly what to do.
  • Can be set to your time zone (YAH!!  Non US readers will understand how exciting this is)
  • Count down to end of term or semester (when you input the last day of school
  • Uses color coding so you can easily see what is due
  • Plenty of space to write all the information you need to know about your assessment task.
  • An extra feature is a calendar

If you are able to use your laptop at school then this planner would be great.  No need for a school diary at all.  But if you still use a school diary then the Online School Planner could be used as part of your daily routine.

Tomorrow I am going to give you some specific tips on how you can use the Online School Planner more effectively.  This is especially important for high school students.

I highly recommend that everyone tries out the Online School Planner today.

Please note that this is not a paid promotion.  I do not receive any money for promoting this site.
