Ideal Study Locations

Do you have an ideal study location?  You know, a place where you can get your work done easily.  Here is a list of great places with Pros ans Cons for each.

Home – desk

Pros -

  • Desk to work on
  • All equipment in the same place
  • Away from distractions

Cons -

  • Away from family
  • Lack of supervision – easy to start doing something off topic
  • Might forget to bring all books home

Home – bedroom

Pros -

  • Private
  • Own room

Cons -

  • May not have everything you need
  • Easily distracted, comfy bed may lead to lots of daydreaming and sleeping

Home – kitchen table (or open place)

Pros -

  • Parents may be around to help and keep you on task

Cons -

  • Easily distracted
  • Can’t leave your books and equipment set up, will have to move all the time

School – computer lab / library / lunch time assignment club

Pros -

  • Don’t have to worry about work when you get home
  • Access to everything you need
  • Can get help from teachers
  • Parents won’t nag

Cons -

  • May miss out on spending time with friends
  • You may be getting home later
  • Could be distracted by friends

Library

Pros -

  • Access to books and computers
  • Away from home and friends – less distractions

Cons -

  • The information may not relate to school
  • You have to remember to take everything you need

Friends house

Pro -

  • You and your friend can help each othe

Cons -

  • Plenty of distractions

As you can see, there is no ideal places to study.  However, there are plenty of options and I am sure you will find the best place for you.
