Use a timer to complete your Homework.

in Homework

As a student I think I became the most distracted when doing homework.  I could study for long periods and even longer when writing assignments.  But not homework.  My mind would drift and I would start day dreaming.

Does that sound like you?  Well here is a new homework strategy.

Time your homework

Use a timer.  Set a clock for 20 minutes and see how much you can get done.  After the 20 minutes is finished then have a short break.

Trust me, it can be very motivating to try and beat something like a clock and you might find you get that homework completed in half the time.

I mentioned a great homework timer in an earlier post.  Go check it out.  A timer is especially helpful when you have too much homework.

A timer will also improve your study habits

You need to develop great study habits if you are going to be successful at school.  The first way to do this is to work out the best homework strategy for you.  Because homework is never finished.
