When you are revising for a test it is very easy to reach for a soda and a packet of crisps. But what about right before your exam. This time is just as important. You need to make sure you eat well to get the most out of your brain power.
Here are my tips:
1. Make sure you eat before an exam
It is so simple to skip a meal before a test. You probably think you don’t have time, or you slept in because you were cramming the night before. But you need to eat something. Do not sit an exam on an empty stomach.
2. Do not eat too much before an exam.
The last meal before an exam is not the time to try out that new “All you can eat” restaurant. Nor is it the time to upsize that Maccas meal. Treat the meal the same as every other meal. Eat a nice balane, with healthy options and you will be fine.
3. Choose the liquids carefully before an exam.
Avoid caffeine or loads of sugar before an exam. Pretty self explanatory huh! Also, don’t drink too much of anything. You don’t want to have to leave that exam for a toilet stop. But make sure you have been sipping water before the test. Keep hydrated. Your mind will thank you.
4. Eat well at the end of the exam
Your exams are finished. Congratulations. Why not treat yourself to a takeaway or nice meal. Enjoy yourself.
