Day 21: Back up system

August 28, 2009

in Home Organisation

The point of a Back-Up System is to make sure you never loose any assignments, homework or revision.  I am sorry to say that if you follow my suggestions you will never be able to say “my dog ate it” or “the computer died”.  And quite frankly, you don’t want to say that to a teacher.  Teachers never believe the stories.

30 Day Study System Back Up Plan

  • Information stored in Study Folder
  • Information stored correctly in computer folders
  • Information emailed home and to school
  • Information printed and taken to school in a folder
  • Information stored on a memory stick

Seriously, if you follow my suggestions you will have 5 copies of your assignment of study notes.

But what about homework?

Well the dog shouldn’t have a chance of eating it because you should be doing your work at a desk and putting it straight back into your bag after it is completed.

Another Back Up System

Another suggestion would be an external hard drive.  This would be where I would save stuff when the assignment is completed.  Just remember, don’t keep the external hard drive plugged into the computer.  The external hard drive needs to be stored away from the computer.
